This month's topic: "The HPV Vaccine"

 

Dr. Laura Koutsky, Professor of Epidemiology at the University of Washington, will speak about the Human Papillomavirus and its connection with cervical cancer, other cancers, and genital warts.  Dr. Koutsky was the principle investigator in studies demonstrating the effectiveness of the vaccine, Gardasil, in preventing contraction of this devastating virus and its subsequent disease.
