7:30 p.m.
T.S. McHughs
21 Mercer Street
Seattle, WA 98104

KCTS 9, the Pacific Science Center and Science on Tap present monthly discussions from the world of science in a laid back, social way at T.S. McHughs. Grab a beverage and pull up a stool, no science background required.

This month's topic: "US Health Care Policy: Challenges and Options for a New Administration"

Health care is one of the final steps in biomedical research; it advances the knowledge of human disease and research and ultimately results in policy changes that impact average citizens. Join speakers Michael Von Korff, ScD, and Diana E. H. Birkett, MPA, MPH from the Center for Health Studies and Federal Relations and Policy, respectively. Learn why health care costs so much in the U.S., what we can do about it, and what the newly-elected federal administration may do to address the problem.

This event is free.  NOTE: Special Wednesday event this month only.
