On-Air Fundraising Anchor/Host

KCTS 9 seeks professional talent to anchor live on-air membership drives. This is a part-time contractual, on-call position during each of our monthly pledge periods: March, June, September and December. Additional hours required for special pledge times throughout the year. Weekend and evenings required.

This position will read from a teleprompter and respond to audio cues; conduct independent internet and program research; work with photographers in the field; and may be responsible for carrying equipment in the field.

Minimum one year of on-camera experience in video or television as a reporter, anchor, host, or other on-air capacity required; teleprompter experience is required; excellent writing and verbal communication skills; professional demeanor and appearance; and valid driver's license required. A degree in Broadcasting, Communications or related field or equivalent experience preferred.  Knowledge of public broadcasting programs/history strongly preferred.
